Doctor Foster, Cadbury and Birkenstocks #LittleLoves

April 14, 2017

The school holiday are all about making memories. I don’t want the children to look back and remember me being too busy to play and have fun. So I’ve taken matters into my own hands and turned my out of office on my emails. They can wait until the children are in bed or once they are back at school – It’s been quite liberating.

Tigger has been loving reading anything and everything at the moment. From road signs to posters. From magazines to his new Star Wars reads from Egmont. It’s lovely to see how much enjoyment he gains from reading the different stories.

Whilst the children have enjoyed watching The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings with Granny. I have been enjoying catching up with One Born Every Minute – although it does make me incredibly broody. As well Doctor Foster on Netflix, Il loved the series when it originally aired on BBC so it’s fab having it at my fingertips.

During the six-hour drive to my mum’s house at the weekend, my iPod decided to have a hissy fit and not work. So it was down to Roo to keep switching the random CDs she found in the glove box. Katy Perry was the one that we had the must fun bopping away to in the front, whilst Piglet napped and Tigger watched a movie.

Each year I try to take the children to an egg hunt. However, this year I created our own egg hunt in the woodland near our house. So much fun, although I might have included one or two too many eggs (if that is even possible).

I’m not really a summer person when it comes to fashion. I much prefer to have my limbs covered as much as possible. After suffering with the heat last year I have opted to embrace it this year with a new pair of Birkenstocks to get my feet through summer.

Living some 300 miles away from my family means that I don’t get to see them often. However, I made the drive up last weekend and it was lovely to reconnect and enjoy some time together.

Well done on putting your out of office on – wish I’d done that! I have worked at night instead of during the day as I usually would though and actually prefer it, I may even carry it on once the kids are back at school. Those Birkenstocks look so comfy, I need a new pair of comfy sandals now the weather seems to be warming up a bit. Hope you’re having a good weekend!

    I loved Dr Foster!

I also love my Birkenstocks, though they’re looking a bit tired now as I’ve had them for years. I have very picky feet so I’ve never owned any sandals other than those that I can wear all day. Even if they do make a farting noise when I walk!

It must have been lovely to catch up with your family. I didn’t watch Dr Foster when it was first on, so will try and catch it on Netflix. Hope you are having a lovely Easter weekend #littleloves x

What a lovely week! I love the feeling of turning on the out of office emails. I watched Dr Foster, it was absolutely gripping!!! Your egg hunt looks like so much fun! I love this time of year. Any excuse for some chocolate! 😀 xx #littleloves

I love my Birkies perfect for summer and a little more formal than my other footwear of choice of the season flip flops. Its hard when your family is so far away isn’t it, I would love ours to be closer but I hope you enjoyed your break with them.

I loved Dr Foster when it aired on TV last year, didn’t realise that it’s now on Netflix. I’m not great at re-watching stuff though when I know the outcome. Sounds like you had a lovely time seeing family and the Easter egg hunt…you can never have too many eggs can you?!

We’re a long way from family too, though not quite 300 miles now my dad has move up from Cornwall. My girls are so used to being in the car now that they don’t bat an eyelid at a 5 hour trip.
Dr Foster is fantastic isn’t it? I can’t way for the new series xx
