Deck The Halls This Christmas

The festive season is almost upon us and many of us are preparing to deck the halls.  As I look on social media there is a huge debate as to when you should start decorating your home and garden from Christmas.  With Christmas falling on a Sunday this year, many people have decided that this coming weekend is the time to pop up the tree and get the twinkly lights out.

Personally, we always put our decorations up on December 1st.  It is somewhat of a tradition that we each have our Christmas tree to decorate within the house.  Obviously, mine is the one in the living room, the one that family and friends will see when they come to visit.  Whilst the children each has one in their rooms with their own set of decorations.

This year is slightly different for us, in that we have a bigger home to decorate and enjoy as well as a garden to add decorations too.  My years of watching Christmas movies such as Home Alone and The Grinch etc. all with amazingly decorated houses hasn’t been lost on me so now is the time to start thinking about decking the halls with lights and decorations.
