REVIEW: Organix Organic Banana Rice Cakes

April 24, 2013
Organic Banana Rice Cakes are created to develop key skills such as hand eye coordination, and more complex self-feeding skills (whilst being particularly tasty too). Suitable from 7 months, they are specifically designed to help your baby develop their scissor grip and progress from grabbing with the palms of their hands. The texture of the rice cake is firm enough to hold but also gentle enough for their developing gums.

When Tigger was weaning he would often snack on rice cakes as they were easy to hold and munch, however they would often turn sticky after being held for a while and would end up sticky to everything.

When Organix asked if we would like to try their Organic Banana Rice Cakes I accepted their kind offer. Upon arrival I was surprised at how big the bag was and could see that this could last a younger child a few snack times.

Opening the bag you are greeted by that familiar rice cake smell which is pleasant but not overpowering. The rice cakes themselves are quite chunky making them easier to be held by small hands.

Biting into the rice cakes they soften and start to dissolve in your mouth. The banana flavour is quite subtle and the rice cake withstand holding them for a while without getting sticky. Personally I think that these are great for weaning babies is great as you are slowly introducing them to more flavours and textures.
