Victoria, Back To School and Wedding Anniversary #LittleLoves

September 9, 2017

The past week has provided me with both highs and lows. If I’m honest the lows have really hit me hard and I’m ready for this week to be over. With me almost writing off our family car after a lorry cut me up on a junction. Thankfully I managed to swerve and smashed it up a curb – resulting in two shredded tyres. So as someone who wears their heart on their sleeve, it has been an emotional week.

Read

With back to school happening this week, I have been busy reading letters, timetables and homework diaries preparing for the school year ahead.

Watched

Historial dramas have to be high up on my preferred viewing list. With the new series of Victoria making me very happy. Although having watched The Crown on Netflix recently, I felt I needed to download series one from the ITV Hub and rewatch so not to mix up my Queens. The new series hasn’t disappointed and I’m looking forward to more from Victoria and Albert over the coming weeks.

Heard

Seeking comfort I have been reliving my youth with the Now 40’s albums playlist on the iPod transporting me back to leaving school and dating days with Mr. Boo. I have so many happy memories attached to those songs.

Made

With a joint of beef sitting in the freezer since it arrived in the Christmas hamper, I thought it was about time I did something with it. Opting to pop it in the slow cooker with a slimming world friendly BBQ sauce for some BBQ shredded beef to go with jacket potatoes.

Wore

It wouldn’t be back to school week without the obligatory uniform photo. My initial thoughts of being organised for back to school were dashed when both children decided to have growth spurts over the summer. Resulting in last minute new shoes, plimsolls and trousers.

Lastly

Despite an up and down week, I cannot forget about Mr. Boo who is by my side throughout everything. We celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary this week. We weren’t able to head out into the night to enjoy a romantic meal or a trip to the cinema, due to a lack of childcare – so had to make do a takeaway and a DVD at home.
