Thomas & Friends Party Planning

September 13, 2014

Tigger is a huge Thomas & Friends fan, that boy would quite happily watch each of the Thomas & Friends films back to back all day long whilst playing with his Take n Play trains. For Tigger the Sodor engines are his friends, what is happening on the scene in front of him is truly happening. So with his birthday approaching it seems only fitting that we should arrange a little Thomas & Friends party for him.

So I’ve started to get myself into Thomas & Friends party planning mode as his birthday is just three days after Roo’s birthday and just after half term so I don’t have long to get things organised. Between arranging somewhere to host the party, sending invitations, food and party goodies there is so much to arrange.

Thankfully for me the lovely people over at Tiger Feet Party have come to my rescue and offered to help me out with some of the key things that I will need for my Thomas & Friends party planning.

Setting the scene

Roo had a huge party for her 4th birthday with 54 children attending and whilst I’m sure all the children there had a good time, Roo kept to her main circle of friends and probably didn’t notice all the children from her pre-school class. Tigger is much more reserved that Roo and I think a party with so many children would not go down well so I’m thinking of hosting a party with maybe 10 or 15 children there.

To help set the scene alongside Thomas & Friends invitations to go to his friends I’ve ordered a Thomas & Friends banner that I can add age to, a giant scene setter pack that has 5 individual pieces in that I can either place together or use around the room. Plus some Thomas & Friends party flags that the children can pick up and play with or added to the walls as additional decoration.

Tableware

Whilst I love parties that have all the character tableware to match the theme of the party it can soon rack up the costings. Tiger Feet Party offer some great party packs for as little as £4.99 that include a tablecloth, napkins, plates, cups and balloons in a variety of different colours. I’ve opted for a ruby red and royal blue set to compliment the Thomas & Friends themed party set.

Party Goodies

A party wouldn’t be a party without some goodies to take away. Keeping with the ruby red and royal blue colours I’ve chosen a fabulous party favours pack that includes 24 items that I can pop a couple inside the spotty loot bags. Finished off with a Thomas & Friends badge and some cake (oops I hadn’t thought about cake until now *adds to to-do list*) I think his little friends will be happy.

Do you have any party planning advice for me?
