Teachers Gift Guide

July 1, 2012

Searching for the perfect Teacher’s Gift, then look no further…

A drawing of a face
Can you believe it is July already? where did the school year go? My little Roo has nearly finished her first year at school and it has gone so quickly.

To buy or not to buy?
I realise that this is a subject that will divide parents, do you buy your child’s teacher a thank you gift at the end of term or not?

For those of you say no, I understand where you are coming from. After all teachers are paid to teach and assuming they have done their job correctly your child will be moving up to the next school year knowing much more than they did at the beginning. However, imagine how you feel when somebody thanks you for a job well done. I bet it feels good, that sense of satisfaction of knowing somebody has recognised your effort.

Personally I will be buying Roo’s teachers gifts, this is because not only have the transformed by daughter into a book worm, knowledgeable little girl and a child who is now interested in learning about everything. Roo’s teachers have also, I feel, gone the extra mile. They have nurtured her, understood her quirks and have built on them too.

Roo is the first to volunteer to help, ask/answer a question, or do any kind of public speaking. Due to this Roo has been given large speaking parts in assembly’s, taken part and attended the Children’s University and assisted the teachers in many projects over the year.

For the past few weeks I have been thinking about what to get her teacher’s to say thank you for everything that they have done. So I wanted to share with you some fabulous gifts I have come across and I hope that I will make your gift decision a little easier.

I will publish a new company/brand each day, please take a look and let me know if you like what you see and if you go on to purchase anything.

Monday – For that personalised touch
Tuesday – An apple for the teacher?
Wednesday – Say it with Nameart
Thursday – An extra special chocolate treat
Friday – Homemade gifts without the effort
Saturday – End of term treats
Sunday – Sock it to them
