As the end of the Christmas holidays approached I wanted to make the most of my last day together with all three children. With Roo staying at a friend’s house the night before I needed venture over to Great Yarmouth to pick her up. Missing our slice of the Norfolk shoreline we had planned to walk along the sand dunes. With the British Weather blowing an icy wind onshore we decided that an indoor activity was needed.
We turned to one of our family favourite places to visit in Great Yarmouth – the SEALIFE Centre Great Yarmouth. Somewhere which we would often visit when it was just 10 minutes away. We’ve even visited on Boxing Day!
Whenever we visit the SEALIFE Centre we always make sure to pop along to the Penguin enclosure and say hello to our favourite Penguin, Boomer. Piglet really enjoyed watching the penguins swimming around and seeing them jumping in from the side.
The shark tank is always a favourite too. As we stand in the tunnel looking for the sea turtle and try to guess how old he is. Then attempt to count all the different sharks in the tank and tell tales of Medusa who presides in the tank.
As we hadn’t visited since the summer we were unaware that the ray tanks and the starfish rock pool areas were undergoing an upgrade. Advised that we would need to turnaround after visiting the penguins and return to the entrance. Before going back in via the exit to continue the rest of the attraction. It was quite fun to do the second part of the visit backward.
With our fill of looking at all the different fish, we headed to the play area to burn off some energy. Whilst we haven’t visited for a while it was lovely to return once again. Hopefully, we won’t leave it quite so long before our next visit.
Disclosure: We are Merlin Annual Passes holders, which we have purchased ourselves
