Tefal Ingenio Collection – the simple, versatile, ingenious cookware with removable handle

August 19, 2013

Earlier this year I shared with you the news that the Tefal Ingenio collection was finaling heading to the UK. With over 20 million users worldwide, the Tefal Ingenio collection features high quality cookware with detachable handles and a huge range of accessories – bringing a whole new take on versatility and ease of use.

As part of my role as a Tefal Innovation Panelist I was recently treated to a fabulous demonstration of the Tefal Ingenio collection. The main concept behind the collection is the versatility of the cookware.

From the hob

With a variety of Ingenio pans available from saucepans, sautepans, frying pans and a wok you will find the right pan for the meal at hand. With detachable handles the range makes it that much safer when cooking with children around.

Alongside the range of pans Tefal also have a range of ingenious accessories, grill for healthy and beautifully grill-marked meals; a colander that fits perfectly in the 20cm saucepan; and a steamer insert with glass lid which will convert your Ingenio sautepan into a steamer.

Into the oven

The Ingenio range fits easily into the oven and it is not restricted by oven temperatures, so each item doubles as an oven dish. It’s perfect for those tasty dishes that you start off by frying on the hob and then finish off in the oven.

To the table

By simply detaching the handle you can transform your cookware into serving dishes allowing you to transfer your yummy dish straight from the hob or oven to the table. As the handles can hold up to 10kg even the heaviest cheese & potato pie will survive the trip to the table.

Into the fridge

With the addition of hermetic plastic lids you can easily transfer any left overs straight from the table to the fridge or freezer. No need to try and find a plastic storage tub and corresponding lid (which I can never seem to find) in order to move the food from one pot to another before being able to refrigerate.

Optimum storage

Living in a terrace house with a small galley kitchen space is somewhat limited. The Ingenio collection simply stacks inside each other and with the detachable handles you don’t need to worry about them catching in the way. The handles on the glass lids also fold flat so that you can stack these on top of each other too.

Easy cleaning

With the collection coming from Tefal you know to expect their high standard non-stick coating as they were inventor of non-stick cookware back in 1954. The collection can either be hand washed in the sink of simply popped into the dishwasher.

I challenge you to go look in your kitchen cupboards as see just how much space you could regain by having the Tefal ingenio collection instead of your current pots, pans, accessories and plastic containers.
