McCain is a brand well known in the Boo Roo and Tigger Too household, from their handy Jacket Potatoes to their yummy chips. So when they offered us the opportunity to taste test their limited edition Caribbean wedges I knew that Mr Boo would be happy.
Cooking them couldn’t be simpler, simply place on a cooking tray and place in the oven. I decided to cook them in the Actifry and they came out light, crisp and looking yummy…
Wedges are perfect for sharing either in a bowl at a BBQ, on a buffet table or part of a sharing platter in front of a film. As I’m a Plain Jane I knew that these wouldn’t be my cup of tea so I added them to Mr Boo’s plate instead of the potatoes that the rest of the family were having.
Mr Boo was surprised to hear that the wedges I set before him came out of a packet as they tasted just like homemade ones. The potato was light and fluffy, whilst the Caribbean flavouring on the outside was tasty without being overpowering.
McCain Caribbean Wedges (750g) are available in all good supermarkets and convenience stores (RRP £2.10), joining McCain’s wide range of delicious flavours including Lightly Spiced, Sea Salt & Black Pepper and Mexican Wedges.
Disclosure Policy: I received a bag of McCain Caribbean Wedges FOC for the purpose of review.
