The car seat market has changed quite a lot since I first bought a car seat for Roo over nine years ago. With new car seat regulations coming in from the government purchasing a car seat for your child is a little daunting. One of the hardest things about purchasing a new car seat is working out how to fit it in your car correctly. Most instruction manuals are difficult to understand, however, the Graco Milestone All-In-One Car Seat instruction manual includes helpful step-by-step pictures to help guide you through the process.
Installing the Graco Milestone All-In-One Car Seat in the rear-facing position for Piglet I was surprised at just how easy it was. The lap section of the belt is placed under the seat covers ensuring a snug fit so that there is no movement – thank goodness no more weaving the seat belt in and out of the car seat like I once had to do with one of Roo’s baby car seats (it was a nightmare). The chest strap then fits around the back of the car seat and threads through a guide on the side to keep it in the right position.

Graco Milestone All-In-One Car Seat | Rear Facing
There is a removable padded insert included within the Graco Milestone All-In-One Car Seat which gives additional support and comfort to newborns and smaller babies. Piglet is almost five months old and doesn’t require the padded insert, although I have left the extra head support in place so that she has somewhere to rest her head in a more comfortable position.
The 5 point harness is easy to adjust with a pull strap at the bottom of the seat unit and comes complete with removable and washable harness covers that have a rubber type backing to them meaning that they don’t slip down and provide that little bit of padding against the neck and the harness.
A removable cup holder can be attached to either side of the car seat, which just slips into place so can be easily repositioned depending on the space available.
Our thoughts on the Graco Milestone All-In-One Car Seat
With Piglet getting bigger the infant car seat that we purchased alongside her pushchair is becoming a little too heavy for me to carry and getting her in and out of it whilst it is in situ can be a little difficult so we had been looking to purchase a static car seat for her.
The Graco Milestone All-In-One Car Seat is a comfortable looking car seat which I can see will grow with her. The harness is easily adjusted which makes life so much easier when you are trying to get a wriggling baby in and out of the car. The only niggle is the chest strap crossing over the door means that I need to lift her over it whilst ensuring that I don’t bang her head on the roof of the car – I have managed to get around this by pulling the belt down with one hand whilst I slip her into the seat with the other, before ensuring that I’ve put the belt back in place.
Piglet only weighs just over 6kg so will be using the Graco Milestone All-In-One Car Seat in the rear-facing position for some time, although as Tigger is just over 16kg I have tried him in the forward-facing position and he was very comfortable in it and had plenty of room. Adjusting the height of the car seat to accommodate Tigger was really easy with a press of the red button above the headrest.
