Easter holidays {2015} – Week One

April 4, 2015

Yay! the Easter holidays are here at last. The final half of the Spring term at school seemed to have passed so quickly that the holidays have come as a bit of a welcome surprise.

Saturday

Despite feeling truly rotten I didn’t want to let the children down so continued out into Norwich to see Milkshake Live! at the Theatre Royal. Tigger was initially upset that we were going to the cinema but soon perked up when he heard the Milkshake music with Amy and Curtis appearing on stage.

Sunday

A much longed for day at home resting, especially after all the bugs we have been suffering from it was a time to recharge our batteries and catch up on housework, minecraft and trains.

Monday

After catching up on a few chores at home we made a quick trip to our local library to exchange Roo and Tigger’s reading books before grabbing some lunch and bumping into Roo’s Cub Scout leader.

After lunch we headed to the cinema to meet up with my best friend and her daughter to watch Cinderella. With a bonus Frozen Fever showing before the start of Cinderella we were treated to a magical afternoon.

Tuesday

I had booked tickets for us to go to our local Spring Fling at the Norwich Showground however as the weather was bad I opted not to take the children out and stayed home.

Instead we enjoyed an afternoon of baking, making rock cakes, brownies, cookies and red velvet cake.

Wednesday

A work day for me (unfortunately), so Roo and Tigger had a day at home with Daddy. A game filled day of Minecraft, Skylanders and a selection of board games.

Thursday

We ventured into Norwich to watch Night at the Museum: The Secret of the Tomb at the Odeon’s kids club. Unfortunately Tigger became unwell so instead of heading into the city to go to the Castle Museum etc in the afternoon we headed home for him to rest. A trip to the doctors revealed that he had tonsillitis and started on a course of antibiotics.

Friday

We made our way to SEA LIFE Centre Great Yarmouth to collect our Premium Merlin Annual Passes. The SEA LIFE Centre was really busy as they had a couple of coach trips in so Roo and Tigger enjoyed a play in the play area instead of visiting the fish.

Roo had a birthday party in the afternoon which Tigger was not happy about as he was not invited!

How have you been spending your first week of the Easter holidays?
