Whilst there is always a place in Roo’s heart for dresses and skirts. She is a very active tween so needs to wear clothing that is practical yet able to mix and match with her wardrobe.
Leggings are Roo’s go-to wardrobe favourite. However, we have often struggled with sizing, quality and durability. She was recently sent some Love Leggings children’s leggings… And, honestly, I love them – so much so I’ve just has two pairs arrive this morning for myself (which I bought!).

Love Leggings | What we love…
Given that leggings are Roo’s go-to item of clothing, whether she is pairing with a hoodie, underneath a denim dress or something to throw on before dance class. They need to be multi-functional and hardwearing!
As soon as I took them out of the packaging I could feel the soft fabric in hands and the thickness of the leggings. To compare I grabbed a pair of her current leggings from her wardrobe to compare and I was really shocked at the difference between the two.
Whilst I loved them initially, the proof is in the wearing. So it was over to Roo to put them to the test, with her immediately declaring that they were so soft and comfortable. The leg length was really good especially as I had ordered the 12-13 years and in some clothing items, she is 13-14 years.
Love Leggings | Practicalities…
The thicker fabric on the Love Leggings not only provides Roo with a warmer feel, especially in the cold weather (no more making her put tights on underneath or wearing two pairs at once). The fabric also ensures that they are not see-through when she bends over, is running, climbing or riding her bikes etc.
Plus washing and drying is really easy, with them keeping their size, shape and colour. I can’t wait to see if they bring out a children’s range of their sports leggings – perfect for completing school sports, dance and keeping active.
Piglet also has a pair of the children’s leggings which are slightly big on her at the moment. However, I’m already planning on purchasing additional colours for when she moves up to the sizing.
