Celebrating national bed month with Netflix

March 21, 2017

It’s no great secret about how much I love my sleep. Those around me will know just how cranky I am if I have had a bad night with one of the children. I can always remember one of my friends telling me that you get used to the sleep deprivation once you have children. Well, they were wrong – some ten years later and I’m still as irritable and awful to be around if I am tired. This is the same for the other advice I received whilst pregnant to sleep when the baby sleeps… Oh, how I wish I could enjoy a nana nap when Piglet goes down for her mid-morning nap.

March sees the celebration of National Bed Month and those lovely people over at Netflix have kindly sent me an everyday is a duvet package. Comprising of everything I need to sit in my bed and enjoy some Netflix before I turn in for the night. With slippers, tea, pillow spritzer, and an iBeani to ensure that my iPad is perfectly positioned for my night’s viewing.

I’m a romantic at heart so for me I like to enjoy love stories to dream about…

Titanic

James Cameron’s “Titanic” is an epic, action-packed romance set against the ill-fated maiden voyage of the R.M.S. Titanic; the pride and joy of the White Star Line and, at the time, the largest moving object ever built. She was the most luxurious liner of her era — the “ship of dreams” — which ultimately carried over 1,500 people to their death in the ice cold waters of the North Atlantic in the early hours of April 15, 1912.

Chocolat

When mysterious Vianne and her child arrive in a tranquil French town in the winter of 1959, no one could have imagined the impact that she and her spirited daughter would have on the community stubbornly rooted in tradition. Within days, she opens an unusual chocolate shop, across the square from the church. Her ability to perceive her customers’ desires and satisfy them with just the right confection, coaxes the villagers to abandon themselves to temptation — just as Lent begins.

My Best Friend’s Wedding

Childhood friends Julianne Potter (Julia Roberts) and Michael O’Neal (Dermot Mulroney) had a deal to marry each other if they were still single by age 28. Now, four days before her 28th birthday, O’Neil announces that he’s marrying a gorgeous 20-year-old named Kimberly (Cameron Diaz). Suddenly realizing that she’s actually in love with him, Julianne vows to stop the wedding at all costs. However, when she is appointed maid of honor, things get even more complex.
