Monthly Goals | January 2020

As the New Year is about to ring out loud and resolutions are made, I’m looking to make changes in my life. But not ones that fall under the resolution category of losing weight and getting fit – although I could benefit from both of those. This New Year I am looking to make time for me and to ensure that I am accountable for this I am once again jotting down my plans and goals for the month ahead.

A Merlin Adventure to London’s Southbank

With so much happening in real life and a somewhat different festive season to the one we would normally have. What The Dad Said insisted that we make it out and about on my birthday – despite me wishing to hide from the world. However, it’s always important to celebrate for the sake of the children if nothing else. With this in mind and our new Merlin Annual Passes in hand, we opted for a family day down on London’s Southbank.

P.S. I Love You, Gavin and Stacey & Visiting Stoke #LittleLoves

Oh, December! What a month you have been, from some wonderful highs to almost the lowest points that you could possibly face. Whilst I’d never truly want to wish my time away, I think I can safely say that I’m pleased to be heading towards the end of the month. Thanking December for the wake-up call it has given but happily waving goodbye to some of the long hours and days that I’ve experienced.

The Month That Was… November 2019

Coming from a family of birthdays all in the same month you would have thought that when I cam to have my own children that I would attempt to spread them across the year. However, that would be the sensible thought out plan but instead, we have all three birthdays in one month. Swiftly followed by the December festivities. Which this year seems to have dripped into the end of November.

Monthly Goals | December 2019

As a new month starts tomorrow, I want to make myself accountable for the plans that I have and the goals I am looking to achieve. What better way to make sure that I am completing these than by making the public.

The Man Who Didn’t Call, Frozen 2 and life decisions #Littleloves

As the end of the year closes in I’m starting to feel quite melancholy. There isn’t one particular thing that is making me feel this way. Rather a host of small things, probably insignificant to most people. All of which are chipping away at me. I’ve attempted to distract myself from the majority of things, however, there are some things that no matter what I do still manage to whizz around my mind.

The month that was… October 2019

Time to wave goodbye to another month and reflect before we greet the new one. October has had some bumps in the road but on the whole, we can’t complain. I don’t think anyone’s life is carefree and easy – it’s all about you knuckle down and overcome those challenges and setbacks.

I Owe you One, Sanditon and Half-term #LittleLoves

October has felt a little strange, which I’m putting down to the fact that half term is a week earlier than I would normally have thought it to be. With the children going to be at school on Halloween, leaving us little time to prepare for the night of festivities ahead. Our estate goes all out on Halloween with lots of houses decorated and pumpkins out on display to signal that the children can knock on the door for a treat.

The Month that was… September 2019

September has been a hectic one, but then it always is. It marks the end of the school summer holidays where we are attempting to cram in the last days of fun before school starts and life returns to the usual routine. Not to mention family events and celebrations. This month has thrown a lot at me, at us all really but although I groan about it, I’m not sure I’d change the hecticness of our lives.

Kindle Paperwhite, Autumn and Awards #LittleLoves

September always feels like the start of a new year, Much more than January does for me. Signally the start of a new school year, the beginning of new chapters and also the push to tick things off the to-do list. An opportunity to purchase new stationery ready to make lists, party plans and get ready for the upcoming birthday and Christmas season.
