Blind Date With A Book

April 19, 2019

How do you find a new book to read? Do you browse around the book store glancing at covers? Do you look online and randomly look for something that looks interesting? How often do you judge a book by its cover?

We have all heard the saying, Don’t judge a book by its cover. Most people say it about judging people and situations by what you see. Because sometimes, the best people or ideas are more than meets the eye. But what if we took that statement and actually used it about books. When people are using the book cover analogy, it is because some of the best books have a simple cover. How often do you just an actual book by its cover?

When we are picking a new book to read, most people pick a book by the cover. If the cover looks interesting, people go on to read the jacket and learn what the book is about. However, just like we should judge a person by appearances, we shouldn’t judge a book by the cover. There are better ways to find books to read.

A simpler way to find a book to read

When looking for a book to read, we should look at the genre we like, and find a book that way. What if there was a simple way to find books to read that is perfect for what we like to read. That is what a Blind Date with a Book is.
