It’s easy to fall into the trap of not wanting to get too many maternity clothes as you’re only going to wear them for approx 7-8 months. However with a range of maternity summer tops for just £5.99 each, leggings at £6.99 and a two pack of nursing bras for just £9.99 there really is no excuse not to pop into Aldi and treat yourself to some additional maternity wear.

The little ones aren’t left out either with bodysuits available for just £2.79 for a three pack as well as sleepsuits at just £3.99 for a three pack now is the time to stock up on those baby essentials.

Essential Accessories

Baby Bouncer and NubySpeak to any mum and they will offer different advise as yo what they found as an essential when their babies were little.

For me it was a ready supply of bodysuits and sleepsuits, muslin cloths, a snuggly blanket and a good baby bouncer like the Hauck Bungee Deluxe Baby Bouncer which is available for just £19.99.

Now I might sound like I’m keeping it simple but those first few days, weeks and even months all babies truly need are their parents, clean clothes, a clean bottom and feeding regularly.

After having two children there are three staple items in my bathroom cabinet. Firstly an ear and forehead thermometer which is available for just £9.99. Secondly and thirdly are Calpol and Neurofen (I honestly think that I should have taken out shares in theses two brands), children can deteriorate quickly so having pain relief on hand is essential.

Playtime

A close up of food, with Aldi and NubyWhen I was pregnant with Roo I watched many (many) maternity programmes one of which was the Baby Whisperer who believed that children should follow the EASY routine – Eat, Activity, Sleep, You. This is something that I tried to follow as much with Roo and Tigger so having some little toys and books to keep them occupied helped keep them occupied during playtime.

Aldi have some great toys available like the Nuby Baby Pram Teethers/Rattles for just £2.89 as well as great selection of books, soft balls and baby toys starting at just £1.99.

What would you say your baby and toddler essentials were?

Disclosure: I am an Aldi ambassador for which I have received samples from the Baby and Toddler Specialbuys event
