Special Award – Fundraising

May 26, 2015

Children have the ability to make you stop in your tracks, whether it is something they have said or something that they have done.

Recently Roo seems to be able to amaze me with each passing day. She come home from school after learning something new, after being selected to take part in sports or being star of the day.

Cub Scouts is one of her activities that she really enjoys. She is a born leader and loves to help others so the Cub Scouts is somewhere she can make a difference. Her hard work and dedication was recently acknowledged when she received a special award for taking part in a fundraising activity.

She was the only Cub Scout who stayed to help pack bags at our local ASDA store for 6 hours. I popped in after 3 hours to buy her lunch and see if she’d like to come home but she wanted to stay and complete the day.

I couldn’t be more proud of her if I tried.
