The Nutcracker

One cold and frosty Christmas Eve night, the Stahlbaum house shone festive and bright.

Twinkling candles lit up the tree as guest arrived for the Stahlbaums’ party.

The Nutcracker

Hoffman’s tale of The Nutcracker is a favourite traditional story made popular by Tchaikovsky’s ballet music. Retold in verse and beautifully illustrated, the story captures the magic and excitement of Christmas Eve.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

I have to admit to never actually reading The Nutcracker before, so this was a new story for us all this evening. Reading the story and looking at the beautiful illustrations I can really see why it was made into a ballet – beautiful.
