The bathrooms design, or lack thereof, is beginning to bug you. It may not be matching up to the creativity and design you’ve bestowed on the rest of the rooms in your home. However, if you’re currently on a budget, it’s unlikely you can afford to fund a suite for your bathroom, which can easily cost anywhere between £3000 and £10,000.

But that’s okay because there’s a lot you can do on a budget, to give your bathroom a new lease of life, and make it look deceivingly expensive.

And so if you’re eager to create a luxurious feel in your bathroom, but are reluctant to pay for a new suite that costs the earth, this guide can help you.

Use Shower Panels Instead Of Tiles

The more luxurious the tile, the more expensive it tends to be. The material used gives you a strong indication of its price tag. Marble, for instance, will cost a lot of money to buy. Add the labour costs on top, and you’re underway for a very luxurious, but also incredibly expensive bathroom.

But there are cheaper, better alternatives to consider. For instance, wall panelling for bathrooms looks the part without breaking the bank. Plus, they’re easy to install. Meaning a tiler is not required, and you save even more money.

Wall panelling technology has improved over the years, meaning a range of colours and textures are available to suit all tastes. It’s just a matter of finding one which gives the luxurious look you crave.

Add Metallic Accents

It may seem like your entire bathroom suite needs changing, when, in fact, it could just be the accessories. Such as the taps, cabinet handles, and showerhead, letting the appearance down.

Spruce Up Your Bathroom

The chances are the colour of your bathroom suite is white. White sinks, toilets etc. work very well with a wide range of bathroom accessories. And so, to instantly change the appearance and add a touch of luxury to your bathroom, consider painting the bathroom accessories you already have in a matt brass effect, like the one pictured. If you don’t have time to sand and paint, you can order ready-made accessories to install instead.

Other luxurious bathrooms metal accents, including mirrored and brushed chrome can also add a classy touch to the bathroom.

Expensive-Looking Linoleum

Linoleum is one of the cheapest types of flooring available. Yet it’s durable, easy to clean, and warmer underfoot than, for instance, tile flooring.

Moreover, it’s available in an extensive range of styles, some of which are very luxurious in appearance. From a wooden flooring effect to polished tile, you can emulate elegant vibes in your bathroom with some new, and inexpensive lino flooring.

Classy Containers

If you take a look at your current hand wash, shampoo, conditioner bottles and so on, they’re most likely different colours, shapes and sizes.

To add some sophisticated order to your bathroom, consider purchasing elegant containers made to pour your body soaps into. You can purchase inexpensive containers from sites such as eBay. Choose a uniform colour that’s in keeping with the colour scheme of your bathroom.

Oversized Mirror

A luxury bathroom is one with clear and open space. To double up your bathroom size, and give the illusion of more space, add an oversized mirror to one of the walls.

Mirrors are perfect for reflecting the upgraded space you’ve created, and bounce light around the room, making it feel much more open and airy.

Plus, mirrors are often a functional item in the bathroom. Perfect for brushing your teeth, styling your hair. And if you have a large family, a wall-sized mirror will serve your household much better when everyone is competing to style their hair and do their makeup in the same space at the same time.

Minimise Clutter

Tidying the bathroom shelves, getting rid of old and unused products, and minimizing bath toys and organising and storing them away in the cabinet. Is a free, instant way to boost the look of your bathroom.

While decluttering, sort out old towels and flannels for recycling. With the intention of replacing them with fluffy, newer towels to add to the luxurious vibe you’re creating in your bathroom.

As you can see from the above tips, sprucing up your bathroom with a luxury touch, does not have to be expensive. While some of these tips may seem like small changes, they make a big difference to your bathroom’s overall look and feel.
