Noa and Nani Hove Day Bed

May 21, 2016

Later this year Roo turns ten, day by day she is turning more and more into a tween. Her options are free-flowing, her moods are up and down more times than a rollercoaster and her attitude can sometimes require adjusting but it’s all part of growing up.

As she is growing up it is time for us to make some changes to her bedroom as bunk beds have seen better days and are no longer practical (oh how I hate changing the sheets on the top bunk). With our recent house move, it seems the perfect time to ditch the bunk beds and opt for something that will see her through her tween years. Whilst originally she wanted us to get her a double bed, we explained that this would take up quite a lot of her room and whilst lovely when she has sleepovers might not be the best solution.

Whilst searching for single beds I came across Noa and Nani and fell in love with their day beds and between Roo and I we decided that this would be the perfect solution, she would still have space in her room to dance and sing whilst having a trundle bed available for when she has friends over to stay. After looking at the different day beds available Roo decided that she liked the Noa and Nani Hove Day Bed the best.

  • 65cm(Height) x 96(Width) x 198cm (Length)

Hove Day Bed

The Hove Day Bed arrives in two boxes, complete with instructions on how to assemble. Putting the Hove Day Bed together was straightforward with the majority of the screws requiring an Allen key which was included within the pack.

The day bed comes with enclosed white sides with a single bar along the back to provide support when using as a sofa during the day, perfect for propping cushions against. We opted to purchase the hypoallergenic high-density foam mattresses to accompany the Hove Day Bed which were the recommended mattresses on the site. They fit perfectly into the Hove Day Bed frame and offer a soft and comfortable night’s sleep.

Hove Day Bed Trundle

Underneath the Hove Day Bed, there is a wheeled trundle that can be pulled out for when guests are staying. Complete with easy to grab cut-out hand holes to make pulling out the trundle easy. The guest mattress is able to be stored on the trundle, however, it is worth noting that it isn’t possible to keep a spare duvet/pillow on top so this would need to be stored elsewhere.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

As a parent, I loved that the Hove Day Bed was easy to assemble, with two different parts to the bed I was worried that it would be complicated, however, I needed have worried as the instructions were clear and all the required bolts and screws etc were all included. The trundle underneath is light enough for Roo to pull out herself, yet heavy enough not to slide around the floor when someone is sleeping on it.

Roo is especially loving the sofa element to the Hove Day Bed, she pops her pillows and cushions along the back bar and snuggles into her blanket as she settles down to read a book, watch a film or listen to her iPod.

Price and Availability

The Noa and Nani Hove Day Bed is priced at £119.99 with the hypoallergenic high-density foam mattresses available for £79.99 each all with free delivery – available to buy from Noa and Nani.
