I’m A Celebrity, Task Avoidance and Drayton’s Magical Christmas #LittleLoves

November 24, 2017

I seem to be playing catch up all the time at the moment. That juggling act of running myself down versus letting people down. Any thoughts of being organised etc. are firmly on hold. From constant illness that is sweeping through our house, which I wish quite frankly would do one. To family life feeling especially hectic with birthdays, activities and school events. I can’t even console myself that it will get better in the next few weeks as we are now in the run up to Christmas.

THIS WEEK’S #LITTLELOVES…

READ

Each week I read others #LittleLoves posts with envy at all their grown-up books they have enjoyed. Whilst I am yet again sharing a series of books that one of my children has been enjoying. This week has been The Fizzle Trilogy by Tim Walker. A fantastic trio of books perfect for tweens.

WATCHED

I’m A Celebrity – or not a celebrity as the case may be. I know that the word celebrity is subjective and will be applied differently by each one of us. But seriously, would you really call all of these people celebrities? It is all good fun all the same, and lovely to see Ant and Dec back on-screen together.

HEARD

Dare I confess that we’ve had the Christmas tunes pumping out in the car. Tigger for one isn’t too keen as ‘it’s only autumn, not winter and NOT Christmas!’. The rest of us, however, are loving the festive songs.

MADE

This week has all been about sorting out clothes, boxes, toys, and books etc. Ready for the upcoming influx of new items from the festive season I have been on a mission to clear out. Not quite sure if it was out with the old or task avoidance, depends on how you look at it.

WORE

With the weather making a turn for the wind and rainy season it was about time that we dressed accordingly. With each of us featuring a new Joules coat to keep us right as rain throughout the season. Whilst I do adore my Joules Coast jacket, I really want to be Piglet’s age again and wear this adorable navy parka.

LASTLY

Despite various illnesses, it has been lovely to spend a few days out as a family. With Drayton’s Magical Christmas, Warwick Castle and Hogwarts in the Snow enjoyed in the past week. I can’t wait for the Christmas holidays when I have all the children home for two weeks.
