The Month That Was… June 2020

It’s funny how the month of June has changed for me over the years. When I worked part-time for the NHS, it would be spent ensuring that the school holidays childcare arrangements were in place. Attempting to cover my workdays between What The Dad Said and annual leave days, plus a week booked for the children at Granny’s house (my mam).

Monthly Goals | July 2020

How can it be the end of June already? I really don’t feel as though I’ve had a full month. That somewhere along the way someone flipped the calendar forward an extra week or two. Needless to say, you can guess that I’ve not achieved a great deal this month if I am complaining about the lack of available days.

What I’m Kindle Reading, Rockband and Rainbows #LittleLoves

I’ve felt somewhat out of sorts this month. Whilst the lockdown plays it’s part on my emotions, I think it’s more of overall exhaustion that has hit me this month. I’m tired of everything at the moment, from the everyday chores, family issues, financial worries and a feeling of just not being good enough. Things aren’t likely to change anytime soon so I just need to keep my head down and get on with it.

Life In Lockdown | Back to preschool

Despite my concerns, last weekend I made the decisions to see whether they still had space available for her to return to preschool. Which they did and everything was arranged yesterday for her to return today. I know that this is the best choice for her, more so than her siblings who are older and able to find other ways to entertain themselves.

Life In Lockdown | Simply just our life now {Week 14}

The first few weeks of lockdown we slowly adjusted our usual busy schedules to a new normal of being at home. Managing to switch school runs and after school activities for homeschooling and exploring the garden. As time has gone on we no longer think of ourselves in lockdown as such – this is simply just our life now.

Garden bucket List {Update} | Creating a children’s play area

One of the bigger tasks that we wanted to do was to create a play area for the children. After losing their trampoline in the storms earlier in the year they have only had a few bits and bobs to occupy them in the garden. Wishing to create something that will last whilst they each grow up. As well as a durable area so that we don’t have to worry during storms and Piglet’s fearless approach to life

Life In Lockdown | Making the right decisions? {week 13}

I’m pretty sure that we are supposed to be in June, you know the month where the days are longer, the sun shines and the summer wardrobe is getting it’s first real airing. However, just like the rest of 2020, June appears to be suffering its own pandemic and has decided to bring the wet, miserable days with it.
