5 little luxuries you can only get on holiday – according to parents

May 29, 2017

I’m not sure about the rest if you but travelling and going on holiday before children and after having them is somewhat different. Whilst Mr. Boo and I were never jet setters we did approach booking holidays differently to how we do now.

I was reading an article from Destination 2 on ‘5 little luxuries you can only get on holiday‘ and it got me thinking about that list met my pre-children holidays. So I thought it would be fun to share 5 little luxuries you can only get on holiday – according to parents list

Dining Package

Booking a holiday is for everyone to relax and have a good time. So the thought of having to stand in a kitchen and prepare meals each day doesn’t sound appealing. A dining package whether it be half board, full board or all-inclusive means that the parents don’t have to worry about shopping, preparing meals and most importantly cleaning up afterward.

Separate bedrooms

Before having children, Mr. Boo and I weren’t too fussed about having a large apartment or room on holiday. After all, it was mainly just a place to sleep on a night as we would be out most of the time. Nowadays accommodation is a big thing and having the children sleep in a separate bedroom from us and the living area makes family holidays so much easier.

Early Check-In

With the fun wanting to begin as soon as we arrive we don’t want to be hanging around or clock watching until we can check-in. We want to dump our bags in our accommodation and get on with our holiday.

Civilised Society

Whilst I love a laugh and a giggle as much as the next person. I don’t want my children exposed to drunken behaviour and bad language (I know I would old and boring. I want my children to have fun being children. Playing in the sand, by the pool, games etc. Not having to listen to cursing and shouting etc.

Travel

Thankfully my three children are accustomed to travelling in the car. However, travelling with children can be stressful so somewhere with good transport links is a must have. Plus if the travel company goes out of the way to make the journey easier that is an added bonus.
