#ToyTuesday {Week Thirteen}

As a little girl, I loved my Barbie dolls, I can remember spending hours dressing them up and playing with my Barbie Campervan.  It never occurred to me as a child that the portioned of Barbie’s figure were not realistic.

Nowadays we are much more aware of body types, sizes and shapes which is why it is wonderful that Barbie is launching the 2016 Barbie Fashionistas doll line, including four body types (the original and three new bodies), seven skin tones, 22 eye colours, 24 hairstyles and countless on-trend fashions and accessories. Adding more diversity to the line continues the journey that Barbie started in 2015 when the brand added 23 dolls with new skin tones, hair colours and, most notably, a flat foot!

#ToyTuesday Week Twelve Highlights

Last week saw a range of different reviews, from educational toys, games and outdoor toys.  My favourite post has to be the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse from Life According to Mrs Shilts – this is a toy that my children gravitate towards every time we visit our local toy store and I can’t wait to have a garden in order buy one.

    I’m super excited about the new Barbies! I bought the ‘average Barbie’ Lammily doll last year because I just love seeing diversity in dolls. I don’t want them all to look the same, or there’s no point in collecting them. 🙂
