Touch Screen Gloves {#Review}

January 10, 2014
It is definitely scarf and gloves weather, the UK is currently starting to get all the bad weather associated with winter. Although those high winds and floods many people have been suffering from is far from an average winter day.
Like most people nowadays I own a smartphone and need want to be able to access information whenever the urge takes me. Generally speaking the walk to and from school after I have dropped the children off at school or on the way to pick them up is my most productive time of the day for answering emails and social media messages.
The thought of taking my gloves off however is not a pleasant experience. I have tried various gloves to help me be able to use my smartphone on the go without much success. I did buy a pair of those gloves that are both fingerless and a mitten, which allowed me to only freeze one finger when I was attempting to activate my phone on the school run… hardly a great solution.
My saving grace has been the touch screen gloves from Find Me A Gift, after seeing them share the details of them on Twitter they kindly offered to send me a pair.
Touch Screen Gloves

Touch screen gloves key features:

  • Conductive fibres in 3 fingertips allows you to access the touch screen without finger to screen contact
  • Use with iPod Touch, iPhones, Kindles and other Smart devices
  • One size fits all so suitable for both adults and children
  • Hand wash
  • Available in pink or black

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

With a RRP of just £4.99 they are cheaper than most gloves that you would find in the supermarket, however I don’t want you to think that with cheapness comes poor quality as these gloves are both warm and functional.
I will be honest and say that when you are not using your smartphone or iPod etc. the white fingertips do look a little strange but actually as long as my hands are warm I don’t really care. Looking at the gloves it doesn’t seem quite right that those three white fingertips will actually work and operate my smartphone. In fact I think that they make using my smartphone easier, they glide across the screen easily without that drag that you have to do with your finger. If anything they work a little too well, so I’m looking at my Twitter timeline it is easy to scroll down a little too quickly.
