Vue Cinemas – All-Inclusive Family Package

The ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ ticket is available at 80 Vue cinemas nationwide and includes entry into a film, a snack of choice and a drink. There will also be a kids snack box option available for mini film buffs. Prices start from £10 per person meaning a family of four will save over 20% on the cost of a trip to watch the latest blockbuster together.

The Boo Roo and Tigger Too household was recently invited to experience the ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ ticket at our local Vue cinema in the Castle Mall, Norwich.  Checking the film schedule we opted to tie in the trip with Father’s Day and treat Mr Boo to a pre-screening of the new ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2‘ (just what every dad wants for Father’s Day!).

Arriving at Vue we were greeted at the serving desk where we were told about the ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ and were able to make our selections.  Personally I would have liked the options to have been slightly broader; the children only have the option between sweet and salted popcorn and as not all children like popcorn maybe the addition of Nacho’s or a bag of crisps might be better.  With regards to the adults selection I would just prefer the addition of non-fizzy drinks added to the package, although there is water available a fruit juice or similar for me would really make the package versatile.

As we were seeing ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2‘ which I hadn’t realised was in 3D I was pleased to see that they had 3D glasses for both adults and children which meant they were easier to keep on little heads.  Having never taken Roo and Tigger to a 3D film I was intrigued to see how they would get on, and was pleasantly surprised that they kept their glasses on and enjoyed the film.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

I really quite like the idea of the ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ ticket, and it really is as simple as booking your package online or paying the extra in the cinema to upgrade and then chose your snacks.  For the little ones the fact that they are getting their own snack tray is a big deal.  It might not be something we would do every trip to the cinema however for that must-see film it will certainly be a treat to have the ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ ticket.

Disclosure: We received a family of four ‘All-Inclusive Family Package’ ticket FOC for the purpose of review.

Looks great but probably wouldn’t save me any money as neither of mine children like popcorn so would want a hotdog

This is a fab idea. I still think that going to the cinema is too expensive. which is a real shame as it is killing off the film industry.

But this is a great idea

A family day at the cinema is usually nothing less than £50-60 for us, this is very enticing…must check it out 🙂 X

The cinema can be quite expensive, so anything that reduces the cost a bit has my vote x

I love that you know just how much you will spend, great for people like me on a budget

Good idea because the food is so expensive at cinemas, and because this way you know what you will spend which def helps when budgeting. But how sad that we have all got into the habit of eating rubbish whilst watching a film. Because of my kids’ allergies we cannot and actually it’s really refreshing to just go an watch!

That’s a fab deal – going to the pictures seems to get more expensive every time we go!

What a good idea. We love going to the cinema as a family but it is just sooooo expensive. If you get a good film then it’s worth it, but it feels like such a waste when you get a dud. Possibly I am still miffed at the fact that Godzilla was so slow, my son fell asleep.

This is a great idea, we love a family trip to the cinema and I usually collect voucher to ave pennies but the extras add up! This is a fab way of knowing exactly how much you’d spend!

Ooh, what a great deal! I’ve always been a bit grudging about the cost of cinema tickets because I remember when I was a student getting in for £1.50! But deals like this make it so much easier to head along as a family. xx
