Too old to keep up with the kids??

September 5, 2013
There comes a point in most people’s lives when they have to act their age, dress for their age group and basically understand that they are too old to keep up with the kids.
Recently I have been pondering whether I have reached this point in my life or whether I can still pull off some of the younger looks. I bought Roo a lovely pair of navy converse trainers recently with multi coloured tongues and I am now hankering after a pair for me. The problem is I am not someone who can happily spend £50+ on a pair of shoes for myself, anyone else but just not me.
I was shopping online at New Look last night and spotted a lovely pair of navy double tongue trainers, however here comes my issue… they were in the teens shoes and boots section. I don’t know whether to buy them or not. They would go really well with the other couple of bits sitting in my shopping basket but can I really get away with buying and wearing a pair or teen trainers?

At only £9.99 they would be great for the school run and popping to shops, so maybe I could pull them off? Or will I be the laughing stock of the school gate mums?
Would you buy shoes from a teen range?
This post is brought to you collaboration with New Look, although I really do want to buy those trainers and can’t decide if I can pull them off or not.
