Highways England inspiring the next generation of engineers

Highways England are inspiring the next generation of engineers with the help of Minecraft. They have been hosting interactive Minecraft workshops alongside their public consultation events for the new 10-mile dual carriageway between the Black Cat roundabout near St Neots on the A1 and the Caxton Gibbet roundabout on the A428 near Cambridge. We attended one of the workshops near Cambridge and it allowed Tigger to walk around viewing the different roadways, from slips roads, dual carriageways and some very impressive roundabouts. All whilst learning about the real-life job roles that are available for each of the stages within creating our road network.
