Dear Roo,
Tomorrow you return to school, moving up to Year 4 – I’m not quite sure how you can be starting Year 4, I can still remember taking you to school for your very first day.
You have changed and grown up so much since that first day. You have gained a thirst for knowledge, an enthusiasm for all the activities available and a passion for sport.
As I send you off into your new classroom tomorrow morning I don’t have the concerns I held last year about you being a small fish in a big pond. This year I know that you are capable of making your way through the school year, making yourself known to the teachers in a good way and making new friendships with your classmates.
Whilst some children attend school because they have to I truly believe that you attend because you want to and love all the different aspects of school.
I am so very proud of you, something I hope you know even if I don’t get the chance to say it as much as I’d like to.
I hope your enthusiasm for school continues and here is to a new school year.
