The Original Theraline Maternity and Nursing Pillow {Review}

When I was pregnant with both Roo and Tigger I bought a cheap V-shaped pillow hoping that it would allow me to find a better position to sleep in, to use as I rested my swollen ankles and after caesarean sections.  Sadly this V-shaped pillow offered very little relief however not knowing that there was anything better out there I made do.

This time round I have been fortunate to have been sent an Original Theraline Maternity and Nursing Pillow to see if it can soothe my pregnancy comfort woes, my inability to find a sleeping position for more than 5 minutes and hopefully something that will be of use after another caesarean birth.

The Original Theraline Maternity and Nursing Pillow

The millions of micro beads that fill the Original Theraline Maternity and Nursing Pillow enable the pillow to be truly versatile.  Measuring 75″ x 15″ it is a substantial pillow however it feels light and manoeuvrable at the same time.  Designed to help support mums through pregnancy and beyond, it can be used during breast-feeding and also small babies who cannot sit up unaided.

For pregnancy support

  • Relief for legs, belly and a stressed back
  • Stable support for the pregnant body
  • Easy to change sleeping positions

Post pregnancy support

  • Safely moulds to baby’s body
  • Elevates baby perfectly for every body
  • Great for twin feeding
  • Protection after caesarean birth
  • Less strain on neck and shoulders
  • Amazing back support
  • Relaxed feeding and cuddling time

The Original Theraline Maternity and Nursing Pillow comes in an array of different covers, I say an array as there is so many to choose from that it took my quite some time to decide upon which cover to select.  In the end my love of all things purple made me opt for the purple jersey cover.  As the covers are removable you are able to pop them in the wash to ensure freshness and with a selection of extra covers available to purchase you could opt to change-up your Original Theraline Maternity and Nursing Pillow whenever you felt like it.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

With this being my third pregnancy I seem to be feeling the usual pregnancy aches and pains a lot earlier than I can remember than with Roo or Tigger.  Sleeping has been my main problem as I have been waking several times throughout the night attempting to get comfortable once again.

The first night with the Original Theraline Maternity and Nursing Pillow I did wonder whether I would get used to this large pillow in bed (especially as I’m only 5′ 4″) however once I’d worked out a comfortable position it was like a revelation, my body sighing with relief that it was supported whilst I drifted off to sleep.

I’ve been using the pillow during the day too to support me as I lean against wall or sofa as I’m playing with the children, supporting my aching back after a long day.  I can’t wait to see how useful it will be whilst I recover from my caesarean section and when little Piglet is learning to sit up.

The Original Theraline Maternity and Nursing Pillow is available online from priced at £44.95.

I’ve been talking to my friend about getting a nursing pillow to make things a little easier for her and this one looks pretty great. I’ll have to forward the link to her now.
