Making memories this year with Merlin Annual Pass!

January 27, 2015

As a family we opt to take short breaks and day trips rather than a week away at one place, with family time limited to weekends and school holidays we like to try to make the most of the time as we possible. One of the ways we do this is buy having a Merlin Annual Pass.

Living within walking distance of our local SEA LIFE Centre we are very lucky to be able to make the most of the attraction. From impromptu visits when the school is closed, visiting the children’s favourite penguin Boomer or enjoying a lunchtime treat in their cafe utilising their fabulous buy one adults meal get a child’s meal free. We’ve even been to visit on Boxing Day! followed by a brisk walk along the seafront.

Sea Life and Time

Merlin Annual Pass Attractions

A Merlin Annual Pass unlocks 31 Worlds of fun across the UK for an entire 12 months and with Merlin Worlds across the country there is something for everyone, and the value is amazing.

Merlin Worlds include Alton Towers Resort, Chessington World of Adventures Resort, LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, THORPE PARK Resort and SEA LIFE centres around the country.

You can also visit a number of London attractions including; Madame Tussauds, the London Dungeons, the London Eye and the London Aquarium!

Last year we visited Alton Towers including CBeebies Land, enjoyed a couple of days at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort and Roo experienced her first trip on the London Eye, all alongside our regular trips to SEA LIFE Centre Great Yarmouth and SEA LIFE Centre Hunstanton.

With previous trips to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and SEA LIFE Centre Manchester when we visited friends the year before.

This is the year we are on a mission to make more memories using our Merlin Annual Pass. Over the next 12 months we are hoping to try and visit as many of the Merlin Annual Pass attractions as possible, with a visit to Chessington World of Adventures Resort first on our list at half term.

I had no idea these could be picked up so reasonably – what a bargain price that is! Nor did I realise that there were three different levels. *Puts thinking hat on* Thank you for sharing. I will too 🙂 X

We went to the Hunstanton about 20 years ago and loved it – we will have to make a return visit sometime!
Like you we prefer short breaks and days out than a big long holiday, and a pass like this really comes into it’s own then!

It really does represent great value doesnt it! Sadly other than our local sealife centre all other attractions are a good 2 and a half hours drive minimum from us so not sure we would get enough use while Syd is still in his travel sick phase, but hopefully he will grow out of that soon!

Sadly we live too far away for most of these to be accessible but does seem very reasonable if you live centrally.

Not this year but will definitely try it next year! 🙂 Great tip!

we have got them for this year and I am really looking forward to using them. Off to London at half term where we can start at Taussards.

I agree!!! We love our annual passes, it is lovely to be able to nip off for the day and feel like you have done something lovely together as a family

I’ve heard of Merlin Passes but I honestly had no idea what they were for though so this is super interesting. We’ll look into this more!

It’s a shame they didn’t more places in the south west.London is doable but I wouldn’t want to visit LEGOland too often in one year.

Every year I wonder whether to ask family members to club together and buy one of these for us for Xmas, it would make such a magical year.

  • […] at the beginning of the year we made the decision to purchase Merlin Annual Passes in their winter sale.  Four months in and we have already managed to enjoy several of the Merlin Worlds including […]
