May was just five years old when she lost her fight with a rare type of cancer on 31 August 2010. Make-A-Wish first met May and her family a few months earlier. We granted May’s wish to be a princess for the day. Sadly, later that summer, May lost her battle with a rare form of cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma. Since then May’s family has done a lot to support Make-A-Wish UK, raising money so that other families going through something awful can have a wish too.
