I’m not the type of parent who embraces messy play in terms of painting, glitter and even sandpits. The mess and possible destruction that comes with activities like that is best kept to the nurseries, preschools and schools that my children have attended. I’m not against creative fun at home and the children still have access to a range of crafts etc. But glitter and paint are my nemesis.
Whilst attending a reading cafe at Piglet’s preschool before the lockdown. I was introduced to the wonderful world of Little Brian Paint Sticks. Although they still had the traditional easels and paint pots available the children seemed happy and comfortable using the paint sticks. Which after trying them out for myself I was surprised at just how easy they were to use and provided great coverage on the face masks that we were making.

Introducing paint sticks at home
Having seen first hand how easy and convenient the paint sticks were to use. I though that they would be great to introduce at home. Making an alternative to crayons, pens and chalk for the children. Without the associated mess that goes hand in hand with paint, paint pots, brushes and murky paint water.
