Isla Fisher Marge book collection

Tigger is now at the age where he is a confident reader.  Having always expressed an interest in books, following in his sister footsteps.  I often find them reading a book or a magazine together – which melts my heart.  So when it comes to adding new books to our bookshelves, I’m always looking for something that will appeal to both of them.  The new Isla Fisher Marge book collection offers a trio stories within each book that really stood out for me.

Firstly the books themselves are bright and bold, which is always good for grabbing your attention in a bookshop.  Secondly illustrations on the cover and throughout the book by Eglantine Ceulemans, really help to bring the story to life and make it more interesting for younger readers.  Finally, but by no means least, reading the synopsis on the back of the book.  Introducing Marge the rainbow hair babysitter and the adventures she takes the children on.

The Marge book collection is aimed at children aged 5-8 years. Tigger fits into this category nicely, and whilst the stories are easy to read for Roo it doesn’t mean that she didn’t enjoy them any less than Tigger.  With each of the books broken up into three stories making it perfect reading between siblings before bed.

Marge In Charge by Isla Fisher

Marge and the Pirate Baby

Yo ho ho, me hearties Marge is back!

This there’s a baby on the loose.

Have you met Marge? She has rainbow hair, tells wild stories and she’s the best babysitter in the whole world.

Things do SOMETIMES go off the rails when Marge is around but Jakey and Jemima don’t mind that. After all, no one else could rescue a train, help Jakey’s wobbly tooth or cause chaos at the zoo!

About Isla Fisher

Isla Fisher began acting as a child and has worked solidly in television and film for the past 25 years. She has appeared in Home And AwayThe Great Gatsby and Definitely Maybe, to name a few. She also studied in Paris to become a clown for two years before realising that there is not much call for miming ‘the wall’!

Isla has played many roles over the years, from a bonkers bridesmaid in Wedding Crashers to the poster girl for consumerism in Confessions Of A Shopaholic. But her favourite role has been being a mummy to daughters Olive and Elula and son Montgomery. Isla has been making up stories at bedtime for them every night since they were born. These books are for her children, as a reminder of all the fun they have at bedtime reading books and sharing stories.
