In The Night Garden Live // Pip Pip Onk Onk

Most parents strive for a bedtime routine with their children. Without planning, we stumbled into one with Roo when she was a baby and it has been the same one we have used with both Tigger and Piglet too. A warm bath, fresh pj’s, a snuggle on the sofa whilst watching In the Night Garden and a bottle of milk.

Although all three of my children have loved In the Night Garden, Piglet is by far the most animated about it. With the sound of the stars twinkling spurring her into action as she comes running over with her blanket and hands out ready for you to draw circles on it. Just as in the show before she climbs up for a cuddle to enjoy the rest of the action. This summer In the Night Garden Live returns for its ninth year and it’s on our family bucket list to go and see the show.

In The Night Garden Live

IN THE NIGHT GARDEN LIVE is an amazing musical theatre experience for all the family. Children’s favourite CBeebies’ stars – Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka and friends – are all brought beautifully to life on stage using full-size costumes, magical puppets, enchanting music and breathtaking projections.

IN THE NIGHT GARDEN LIVE takes place in its own all-weather, purpose-built inflatable Showdome with many family-friendly facilities. This site-specific structure is a huge hit with children and parents and the immersive theatrical experience makes audiences feel they are actually entering the magical world of the TV show In the Night Garden.

Andrew Collier, Creative Director of Minor Entertainment said: “Parents tell us that children as young as a few months old engage with the live show, and the looks on the faces of the children and parents in the audiences are absolutely amazing. It’s a huge responsibility and enormous privilege to give so many children their first experience of live theatre.”

IN THE NIGHT GARDEN LIVE is written by celebrated creator and composer of In the Night Garden, Andrew Davenport, and directed by acclaimed Royal Ballet choreographer and director, Will Tuckett. It is produced by Minor Entertainment under licence from DHX Brands.
