Easter Holidays 2014 – Easter Sunday

After a terrible night with Tigger, in fact after getting up to him on count number five or six I decided to look at the time (big mistake)… 1.20am! which made me exclaim (rather loudly I have to admit) ‘You have got to be kidding me!‘.  Needless this morning I was shattered, so when Mr Boo got up I decided to take myself back off to bed for a few hours.

The day has been a bit of a wash out if I’m honest, we haven’t been out of done anything exciting.  Many eggs have been consumed, films have been watched, and I finally managed to cook a gammon joint in the slow cooker.

What did you get up to day?

Spent time with family. Sometimes it is necessary just to ‘go with the flow’, bet you were glad to had Mr Boo, so that you could catch up on some well needed sleep. Kate and William seem to be having a fine family time with Prince George over Easter time. There again they do have the benefit of a Nanny and other staff.

Maybe the Royals will encourage and support Quality time for all families. As it looks like little George enjoyed his visit to the zoo. Probably FREE, courtesy of Australia.

There’s often a big gap between our expectations and reality on ‘special’ days, but just chilling with family is special enough.

We spent the day with our extended family, as my cousin who lives in London, came back up to the family home to celebrate her 40th birthday. My auntie had a gorgeous garden party for her, and it was so lovely to spend time with all the family, as we have family members living all over the country so we don’t get time to see each other very often.
