Top 5 Simple Pleasures {Listography}

March 2, 2014

I’m so pleased to see that Kate Takes 5 has re-started the Listography linky, this is one of the first linky’s that I became aware of as a new blogger and whilst I didn’t religiously join in I certainly enjoyed seeing everyone’s take on the prompt.

So this week’s Listography is all about the simple pleasures in life…

1. Pyjamas

If there is one thing that I look forward to after a busy day at work or if I have had a particularly horrible school run it is my pyjamas. Personally I am a pyjama kinda gal rather than a nightdress, so either a fabulous flannel pair (think Ally McBeal and you won’t go wrong) or a comfy pair of old favourites.

2. Music

Music for me has the power to change my mood. It has really helped me recently on the school run either once I have dropped the kids off or I’m on my way to go collect them. Selecting something upbeat can make me walk quicker, put a spring in my step, although I can’t help but mouth the words as a walk (luckily I haven’t progressed to full on singing aloud).

3. Puzzle books

For as long as I can remember I have loved selecting my favourite pen, opening up a puzzle book and letting time pass me by as I complete wordsearches, codewords or arrowwords.

4. Praline

I love chocolate as much as the next person (well maybe a little bit more) but my absolute favourite has to be pralines. I love, love, love that hazelnut chocolate

5. Catching up with friends

Catching up with friends whether I saw them last week, last month or even last year is definitely one of my simple pleasures. Whenever I go out with my best friend, Mr Boo will always ask what time I will be back. No matter what time I tell him he will always say ‘oh I’ll expect at least an hour later then’. It doesn’t seem to matter how much we chat and chat I always manage to think of something I didn’t tell her.

What are your simple pleasures?
