With Roo’s ninth birthday approaching I have been pondering ‘what do you buy a nine-year old girl for her birthday?‘. The tween years are in full swing and whilst before I could name lots of fabulous things to buy her his year I have found it quite difficult.
So what do you buy a nine-year old girl for her birthday?
If you have a girl and access to the Disney Channel you will most likely be aware of the new Disney Descendants movie. With the Disney Descendants DVD, soundtrack CD and accompanying dolls available any of these are bound to produce a smile from the birthday girl.
Friendship Bracelet Maker
I can remember making friendship bracelets when I was Roo’s age. I’d have to find a way to hold the threads tight whilst I made the bracelets which wasn’t easy. The Friendship Bracelet Maker from Qwerkity will make it so much easier for Roo to produce friendship bracelets for all her friends.
Where to buy: Available from Qwerkity
Can a girl ever have too many clothes or accessories? (if you asked Mr Boo he would say yes but Roo and I would disagree). Whether you wrap up some new PJ’s, a sparkly top or a new bag a tween is bound to be delighted. Better still why not head off on a shopping trip together armed with a budget and shop till you drop.
Where to buy: New Look, H&M, Next or any of the leading supermarkets
It might seem like a cop-out gift but giving a tween the option to go and choose what they want from their favourite store is enabling them to have that little bit of independence. So whether they love shopping in Claire’s, H&M or browsing what’s available on Amazon sometimes a gift voucher can make the perfect gift.
Where to buy: Direct from the preferred store or from most leading supermarkets
