Splashbacks are very important in any kitchen. Even if you go as far as getting the cleanest cook, without the right splashbacks, your kitchen would always look dirty. Oil splashes, splashes from cooking would always end up on the kitchen walls, so you must select the right kitchen splashbacks. Getting the right kitchen splashbacks involves getting one, which is easy to clean and beautifies your home at the same time.

How splashbacks transform a kitchen

It’s no news that splashbacks transform the look of a kitchen from ordinary to spectacular. In some cases, it might even cost less than remodelling the whole kitchen. The first thing that is noticed when entering any kitchen is the splashbacks, that is why people are keen on making it elegant.

A kitchen always has an everyday look, unless you incorporate colourful glass splashbacks to it, which would create a vibrant look.

Can I get a splashback in my budget?

Irrespective of what your budget is, there is always a splashback option for you. There are various options to consider when transforming the interiors of your kitchen. Keep reading.

Splashback options to consider

Mirrored Glass

Mirrored splashbacks in your kitchen would give it the illusion of a bigger space. To give your kitchen a cleaner look, you should opt for the mirrored splashbacks, as they reflect more than coloured glass. Plus, this splashback is toughened, giving you extra protection due to kitchen appliances. The addition of mirror splashbacks would give your kitchen a different look. Also, it is effortless to clean and maintain.

Glass tiles

Glass tiles come in a wide range of patterns and colours. The colour you pick would be dependent on whether you want to for a subtle or colourful look. Although it can be a bit on the expensive side, because of its difficulty in installation, you would get the value for your money. Glass tiles go way beyond giving your kitchen a pretty look; it helps to protect the walls and your cooking space.

Fit in coloured glass

In a case where you don’t want to go all out in transforming the look of your kitchen, you can use low-iron toughened glass. Alternatively, you can ask any glass supplier to add a frame for LEDs. The reason is so you can alternate between cool white lights to warm ambient tones as at when needed.

Printed glass

This ticks all the right boxes needed to qualify for a perfect printed kitchen splashbacks, heat resistant, water-resistant, and durable. It is incredibly safe as it can stand up to all the rigorous activities carried out in the kitchen. Printed glass gives the interiors of any kitchen a camouflaged clean look even when slightly dirty with oil splashes. Cleaning it is relatively easy as well, you only need a microfiber cloth, and no cleaning chemical is required.

Toughened glass

Toughened glass can be used to transform the look of your kitchen interior, as it can be painted on the reverse. When painted, it has a certain level of opacity, and this would also add prominence to the kitchen’s interior. Toughened glass splashbacks would suit any kitchen as the light directed towards the splashback can amp up the style.

I’m not sure what sort of splashbacks we want in our kitchen yet. I think we’re going to opt for coloured glass as we won’t need it on a large area x

I love the idea of mirrored splashbacks but as well as making the kitchen looking bigger and brighter, would it be easier to clean, when we looked at re-doing our kitchen, it was something we couldn’t agree on!
