Pop Chef contains:

  • 3-piece Pop Chef
  • 6x Shape cutters – Heart, Sun, Flower, Star, Butterfly & Circle
  • 1x Pack of skewers
  • Idea guide

With us celebrating pancake day earlier this week it seemed the perfect time to test out the Pop Chef. After filling some scotch pancakes with a thick coat of Nutella Roo selected the shape cutters that she wanted to try and started to push and pop. I’m not sure that the Pop Chef was designed to be used on pancakes as only one side of the shape came out looking like what we had tried make, the other side crumbled. I would imagine that you need a firmer food to be able to get a better result so some fruits and vegetables would be ideal.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

Roo really liked trying this gadget out, although the ‘popping’ took a little practice to get right. Personally I love the idea of the Pop Chef, I can see it coming into its own for party preparations, just think of all those fruit kebabs etc you could make.

With a £9.99 RRP it makes it an affordable kitchen gadget and possibly something that will get your little ones involved with the food prep. Available from Character Online, Amazon and Argos.

Disclosure: We received a Pop Chef FOC for the purpose of review.

I don’t get it… Is it a cookie cutter that plops the cut pieces out for you? x

In a way, yes. Although I would say this is better used for fruit and vegetables
