Living Arrows Week Thirty-Five {2015}

August 31, 2015

Every parent will tell you how much they miss their children whenever they are away. Whether it is just for one night or in our case two whole weeks.

Being off work whilst Roo and Tigger have been away at their Granny’s house really brought home just how much they are my life and how our home is not a home without them.

There were no toys in my path as I head out of a room

There was no noise from the moment I wake in the morning

There was no demands for food/drink/entertainment/snuggles

It all felt a little strange and gave me a taste of what life without children could have been like.

Now they are home and I’m sure that they haven’t stopped talking from the moment we collected them from Granny’s house. They have both gron in confidence, attitude and the bond between them both is so much stronger.

Oh how I have missed my babies!

I always hate it when my daughter is away, as the house is too quiet and still without her x

This is very true! I look forward to days without Bob and then I miss her so much! x

When my son is older I’d love him to spend a week at each of his grandparents, I think it’s so important to maintain that bond. No doubt I’ll be a bit lost with what to do with myself but it’ll be so good for my baby 🙂 x

Oh wow I bet it was different not having them around, I hope you managed some you time though. x

Gorgeous photo. I’m currently feeling the strangeness of a child free house! x

My goodness… 2 weeks! I bet they had a great time though! I can’t imagine not seeing my girls for more than a couple of days never mind that long, it must have been really hard!

I can’t imagine being away from the kids like that but their grandparents and the kids must have both loved it x

First off, LOVE THIS LINKY… I also know what you mean about being a bit lost while the children are away. I find that even though I am supposed to relax while someone else is looking after them I just can’t! I know that the kids adore their grandparents/aunt etc so I deal with it. Glad your little ones had fun x

I would love for a few days of not having to step over toys when I leave the room and the constant bickering, but I know I will miss them if they did go away for a while.

Aw I am sure they had a fab time being away, but nothing does beat the feeling of going home x

Never realise how much you miss something until it’s not there. Must be nice to have them back around.

I can’t imagine being away from Boo for more than a couple of hours – and after even a few hours I miss her like crazy!

Awww, it’s so lovely that you got chance to refresh but you must have missed them soooo much! I bet they had a blast though!
