Recently we were contacted to see whether Roo would be interested in review a range of playsets from the Littlest Pet Shop from Hasbro. Roo received Littlest Pet Shop Blythe’s Bedroom, Littlest Pet Shop Fun Room and Littlest Pet Shop Spa.
Littlest Pet Shop is all about self-expression. Littlest Pet Shop playsets give children the opportunity to create their own unique world from limitless combinations of pets, playsets and accessories.
Each playset comes with it’s own instructions although all the playsets are put together in more or less the same way. With handy shapes placed by the end of each column to make sure you are putting it in the right end etc. really helps little fingers put the sets together themselves. With an array of accessories from stickers, room furnishings and little accessories that can be attached to the walls.
Each of the playsets have lifting ceilings which allow easier access to play and interact with them. The small playsets like the fun room and the spas can be stacked on top of each other or placed side by side, allowing your little one to design their own town/village or mansion. The larger playsets like Blythe’s bedroom can accommodate the smaller ones stacked on top and you can chose whether to have them stepped back of at the front of the roof area.
Once we’d managed to set up the Littlest Pet Shop playsets I left Roo to play with them, albeit watching her from across the room to see whether she enjoyed playing with the sets or if they wouldn’t hold her attention for very long. After the initial setting up of the rooms, Roo played quite happily with Blythe and the various Littlest Pet Shop pets that were included within the playsets, going round introducing them to each other.
Littlest Pet Shop TV show
The Littlest Pet Shop TV show follows Blythe Baxter as she moves to the big city with her father, living above Littlest Pet Shop. The fun begins when Blythe discovers that she can talk to all of the pets. Her and her new friends get up to lots of adventures, and often encounter the mean Biskit Twins and their father, Fisher Bisket, who owns the much larger store down the street. The Littlest Pet Shop TV show is currently shown on Pop with a new series planned for 2015.
Littlest Pet Shop App
Let your child bring their Littlest Pet Shop world to life digitally, and design it their way!
Every Littlest Pet Shop pet that your child can collect comes with are unique QR code, bringing them to life in the game when scanned with the app! They can also collect more virtual pets as they play. The more pets your daughter collects and plays with in the real world; the more rooms, activities and cute accessories they can unlock for their digital world!
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
I was surprised to see that so many accessories were included within each playset, although with some of the accessories being so little I do wonder ho long they will last before they start getting lost.
Roo enjoyed putting the playsets together and interacting with the Littlest Pet Shop pets, however I’m not convince it would be something that she would keep going back to time and time again to play with. The interactive app held her attention more than the playsets so I could see her wanting to buy more pets just for the QR code.
