One of our Christmas family traditions is putting up the decorations on the 1st of December. Every year Mr Boo (bravely) ventures into the lost and retrieves our Christmas decorations ready for the first day of advent.
This year with Piglet arriving at the end of November and us being in hospital for a couple of days, life got postponed. The Christmas decorations only made their way out of the loft last weekend and we finally got around to putting up the tree on Tuesday.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
This year we haven’t gone all out with our decorations like we normally do, a mixture of newborn tiredness and our recent renovations have meant that we have decided upon a simpler Christmas this year. Instead we have opted for just the Christmas tree and a few Christmas ornaments around the living room. Whilst it doesn’t look as festive as it usually does, it does still look like Christmas is coming and the children haven’t asked about all the other decorations.
