Hot Wheels Track Builder Volcano Blast {Review}

November 19, 2015

Hot Wheels tracks and cars have become a huge hit with Tigger over the recent months. With him opting for a new Hot Wheels car whenever we offer him a treat (I blame Granny for buying them whilst he stayed with her over the summer). So when the offer of test driving the new Hot Wheels Track Builder Volcano Blast came through I knew that her would be excited as he has been watching the adverts for this set on the TV.

Hot Wheels Track Builder Volcano Blast

Watch out, this volcano is about to BLOW! As the volcano ‘heats up’, load up to eight cars at the top. With the push of a button, kids can decide what happens next.
Will they race down the top of the volcano, crash through the fiery lava and make their escape into four different adventures?

Hot Wheels Track Builder Volcano Blast {Includes}:

  • Hot Wheels Track Builder Volcano Blast track complete with 5 stunts and one Hot Wheels car
  • Suitable for ages 4 years+

Hot Wheels Track Builder Volcano Blast {How It Works}:

Place up to 8 cars onto the top of the volcano tracks. wind up the motorised lever before pressing the Hot Wheels sign on top of the volcano and watch the cars blast off activating the stunts at the bottom of the lava.

Hot Wheels Track Builder Volcano Blast {Stunts}:

As you set off the volcano it releases one car at a time with the first car on each side of the lava track setting off the relevant stunt. There is also an additional track and stunt that runs through the centre of the volcano. Simply place a car on the platform, tip the platform and watch the car zoom through the volcano’s rock face.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

As soon as Tigger saw the box for this set he was keen for it to be set up as soon as possible and thankfully Daddy was happy to oblige (although I think Daddy was just as keen to play with it as much as Tigger). Once set up he grabbed some extra Hot Wheels cars from his bedroom and lined them up before setting off the volcano. The shrieks of excitement from Tigger were infectious and soon we were all clapping and cheering as the cars set off and crashed through the stunts.

Having seen the TV advert for this track set I was intrigues to see whether it lived up to the hype – and I’m pleased to say that it really does. It is easy to set up and can be attached to other Hot Wheels track sets. My only negative would be that it only comes with one Hot Wheels car, it would have been nice to have seen at least two cars included within the set.

Price and Availability

The Hot Wheels Track Builder Volcano Blast is priced at £36.99 and is available from Amazon, Argos, Toys R Us and all other good toy retailers
