Dots!: Super Connect-the-Dots Puzzles

From an early age, Tigger loved completing jigsaw puzzles,  He would complete one on top of another, time and time again.  As he got older and he started to learn his numbers we tried him on dot to dot puzzles, simple ones to start with then progressing to ones with larger numbers in.  He loved them, from both a counting point of view but also trying to work out what the picture was as he started to connect the dots.

Last month we were sent a fabulous new dot to dot puzzle book with a difference…

ISBN: 9781402755217

These dot-to-dots are for everyone! Starting with dozens and going up to several hundreds of dots, these puzzles create beautifully detailed colour pictures. The puzzles are available in single line variants, where a continuous line is drawn from beginning to end and in multi-line variants, where the line is terminated whenever a star is reached and then resumed at the next number. These super complex connect-the-dots puzzles include a teddy bear, swinging rabbit and musical frog.

Dots! Super Connect-the-Dots Puzzles - Pencils

The Dots!: Super Connect-the-Dots Puzzles book comes complete with six colouring pencils in order to complete the puzzles depending on the colour of the dot/number you have reached.  This allows for the puzzle to come to life before your eyes.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

Whilst a number of the puzzles in this book go up to a high number, Tigger really gave the book a go and asked me for help when he couldn’t find a number or he was a little unsure what number came next.  He tried using the coloured pencils included within the book but preferred to use his felt tip pens.  Although the switching between the different colours was sometimes a little fiddly the effect it gives is worth it.
