Whilst there has always been female superheroes, there has always felt as though there was a bias towards male superheroes being the best. DC Super Hero Girls challenges this and provides the girls of today some positive role models who each have their own qualities.

DC Super Hero Girls centers on the female Super Heroes and Super-Villians of the DC universe during their formative high school years – prior to discovering their full superpower potential. Featuring a completely new artistic style and aesthetic, DC’ icons such as Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Bumblebee, Poison Ivy, Katana and many more, make their unprecedented teenage introduction. Each character has their own storyline that explores what teen life is like a Super Hero, including discovering fundamentals of being a hero.
Mattel has just released a series of new DC Super Hero Girls dolls, available in 6-inch action figure designed for girls; and the first 12-inch collection of action dolls featuring strong athletic bodies that stand on their own in heroic poses.

Inside the DC Super Hero Girls package Roo received a special card, notebook, DC Super Hero Girls book detailing all their stats and information for each character, alongside two 6-inch DC Super Hero Girls action figures.
Each of the DC Super Hero Girl dolls come complete with wings, capes or accessory depending on the character. Roo received the Bumblebee and Supergirl dolls which each come with posable joints which allow you to move them into whichever position you want. Whether they are fly around the room or practicing their superhero pose in front of the mirror.
The DC Super Hero Girls action dolls are available from Amazon and all other good toy retailers priced at £9.99 for the 6-inch dolls and £19.99 for the 12-inch dolls.
