The pre-school age group is an exciting time, they have just found their feet and are busy exploring the world. Learning new things each day and seeing their little personalities start forming is amazing to watch. Buying for a pre-schooler however is difficult, they can flit from one activity to the next it can be hard to gauge which thing they truly love.
For as long as I can remember trains have always featured in Tigger’s life so buying for him has always been quite easy, although this year his eyes have been opened up to super heroes like Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Thor thanks to his Daddy – so this year I am finding it difficult to know what to get him.
I’ve put together a selection of top Christmas gifts for pre-schoolers, please take a look and hopefully I will inspire you in what you could buy your pre-schooler for Christmas…
Mini Micro Scooters
Roo has a Maxi Micro Scooter and whenever we go out Tigger always asks if he can have a turn, alas he isn’t big enough for the Maxi yet so finds it difficult to use it. Micro Scooters however offer a junior version, the Mini Micro Scooter which I think would be perfect as it is lighter and more suited to those just starting on their scooting journey.
Micro Scooters have a great post about which Micro Scooter to buy – A Mini or a Maxi scooter?
With a wide range of colours to choose from you can be sure to create the perfect scooter for your pre-schooler. Do you opt for different coloured handles? A funky coloured deck board? – Tigger keeps asking for a blue scooter so I think the Mini Micro Scooter T-Bar Blue would be the best one for him, although looking at the range of safety helmets I’m not sure which one would be best – Scootersaurus? Scootersaurus 3D? a plain blue one… decisions, decisions.
Price: From £54.95

Worlds Apart Junior Readybed®
Over the summer Tigger and Roo spent two weeks at my Mum’s house (they only get to see her once a year), they loved it however I’m sure my Mum was pleased to get her bed back after two weeks with to wriggling worms in her bed. They have already started planning next year’s trip, however this time I’m hoping to ease the sleeping arrangements with a Junior Readybed® for Tigger.
Perfect for a holiday at my Mum’s, a sleepover at a friend’s house or even his cousin coming to sleepover I’m sure the Ultimate Spiderman Junior Readybed®, with its comfy blow up mattress and built in pillow will be a hit. BRIO Mono-Rail Airport Set
BRIO has delighted children for many, many years and is so robust that it can withstand even the most heavy handed pre-schooler. So why not treat them to a fabulous BRIO Mono-Rail Airport set…
From baggage drop to take-off, this wooden play set has everything to create a playful flight experience. The battery operated shuttle helps passengers out to the plane. Once everyone has boarded, the flight control tower signals that it is time for take-off. This play set includes a pilot, a passenger and baggage, and the train tracks are compatible with all BRIO trains and classic railway tracks. And besides being fun, this play set does a fine job of developing children’s hand-eye co-ordination.

GoGlow® Night Beam Tilt Torch
Roo and Tigger have always had night lights, right from day one. They wouldn’t settle if the room was pitch black, which I put down to being in the hospital for almost a week after birth (it’s never dark in those places). Roo’s night light however has seen better days (falling off the top bunk one too many times – oops) so this Christmas I want to get her a new one but one that can be used in different ways rather than use a night light.
Sprinkle some enchantment on your little princess with this magical motion-activated GoGlow® Disney Princess Night Beam Tilt Torch. Wave the torch just like a wand and it magically lights up for a royal slumber party or a spot of fairytale reading. With a wide range of different characters to choose from I’m sure you’ll find the perfect GoGlow® Night Beam Tilt Torch for your pre-schooler – Tigger has the Disney Cars one on his Christmas wish list.
