Unconventionality rules in UGLYDOLLS, the new animated musical adventure starring the acting and singing voices of Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Janelle Monáe, Blake Shelton and Pitbull.

Whilst watching films together as a family can be a wonderful passive activity. A chance to sit down together, relax and recharge our batteries after a busy day. It can also share some wonderful life lessons and morals, especially for children. As well as remind us as adults that we need to think about our actions and words too.

UGLYDOLLS is a film that we saw in the cinema earlier in the year and loved it. The bright colours from the characters, the array of personalities with some funky songs too. With it now available on DVD and digital download we were happy to have this at home to watch for family film night.

UGLYDOLLS is available on Digital Download and on DVD from 9th December

In the adorably different town of Uglyville, weirdness is celebrated, strangeness is special and beauty is more than skin deep. However, Moxy (Kelly Clarkson) dreams of a world beyond Uglyville and with the help of friends Ugly Dog (Pitbull), Wage (Wanda Sykes) and Babo (Gabriel Iglesias), travels back through the toy factory chute from where they came from.

On the other side, they discover Perfection – a town where superficial ‘perfect’ dolls like leader Lou (Nick Jonas) and Mandy (Janelle Monae) are tested before they enter the real world to be matched with their ideal child. Soon, the UglyDolls learn what it means to be different — ultimately realising that they don’t have to be perfect to be amazing.

Where can you buy UGLYDOLLS?

The UGLYDOLLS DVD is available to buy from Amazon and all other good entertainment retailers. If you are looking to download the film take a look at the Sky Store.
