Travel | Places to Visit and Things to Do While in Paris

Having the opportunity to travel the world is a great thing. As with any destination, the question of what’s there to do will come up. Depending on your interest in life, you can find a wide variety of things to do in nearly every country. The location in question here is Paris, France, and the fun that can be had while visiting.

Soak in Some Culture

For those that like to visit other locals to soak in their culture, schedule a viewing of Notre-Dame Cathedral. Even after the fire, the beautiful structure is a sight to behold, and you can also enjoy the views of the river Seine while you travel about.

Next, you could Jardin des Tuileries, which is a stunning public garden set between the Louvre, another place you could go to see the artwork and the Place de la Concorde, one of Paris’s major public squares.

For a touch more art, you could visit either the Centre Pompidou, Musee d’Orsay, Musee de l’Orangerie, or the Musee Rodin to get your fix. Lastly, on the cultural end, take a trip over to the Sainte-Chapelle to get an eyeful of the stained glass on display, be sure to take some photos for friends and family back home.

More Sights and Shopping

If Paris France is to be known for only one thing, beyond the Eiffel Tower, of course, it would be their cuisine. The delectable choices are varied, and depending on your tastes, you can enjoy many of the following locations. For the early risers, the local pastry and bakery shops will have something to settle your grumbling tummy.

As you know, travelling the world is a sweet endeavour, so why not enjoy a sweet treat on a warm day by visiting Berthillon. It’s a well-known gelato shop packed with mouth-watering flavours to suit all guest. If you are looking for a little something with more substance, try one of the many cafes to get a tasty lunch.

As the sun begins it’s dance back toward the horizon and dinner is calling your name, this is where Paris and it’s food scene really shines. The Girafe provides you with a great view of the Eiffel Tower while you enjoy a classy dining experience. For the fusion enthusiast in the crowd, the Michelin starred L’Abysse, combines French and Japanese talents for a beautiful take on sushi and sake.
