The Evolution of Ice Cream

October 15, 2015

When I was younger I can remember looking forward to a Sunday evening. Our local ice cream van would make its way down our road and myself along with all the other children in the area would be cheering as soon as we heard its magical tune. My Mam would have searched out the old pop bottles for us to return so that we were able to get ourselves a 10p mixture bag or if we were really lucky we’d actually get an ice cream.

Nowadays we don’t have an ice cream van that comes down our street so my children have missed out on that excitement of hearing its tune and hoping to see whether they are allowed to get a treat. There is one however that parks outside the children’s school in the warmer months and depending on whether they have been good or not they are treated to an ice cream.
